The School & Family Works is delighted to announce that we have been awarded £30,000 per year for three years from The Julia Rausing Trust to support our Family Group work in West London schools.
This significant investment will help ensure that children, families and schools can continue to access long-term, therapeutic support through our Family Group programme. Led by highly qualified psychotherapists and embedded within schools, Family Group brings together children, parents and school staff to strengthen relationships, improve communication and create lasting change around a child.
The award follows a recent visit to Ashburnham Primary School by Ella Lane, Grants Officer at The Julia Rausing Trust. Ella had the opportunity to see Family Group in action and hear directly from those involved. The visit provided valuable insight into the impact of the programme on children, families and school communities.
Family Group is an evidence-informed intervention that works alongside families over an extended period, often supporting them for 18 months or longer. By creating a consistent space for reflection, understanding and collaboration, the programme helps families and schools build stronger relationships that can support children to thrive both at home and in school.
Mark Griffiths, Chief Executive of The School & Family Works, said:
"We are incredibly grateful to The Julia Rausing Trust for this generous commitment. Long-term funding enables us to provide the sustained support that families and schools need. Real change takes time, and this investment will help ensure that more children and families can access the therapeutic support that makes such a difference to their lives."
We would like to thank The Julia Rausing Trust for their confidence in our work and their commitment to supporting children, families and schools across West London.
